Bingham Cattle

We're a working ranch in Eastern Oregon that provides Dry Aged Beef.

Wendy's Story

I am a true blue small town girl.  I grew up on summer days exploring nature, building forts, working in the farm fields, riding horses and enjoying helping with cattle.

I found my passion at a young age in horses and cattle. I loved helping out with my family's small herd along with my grandfather's and neighbors cows.  I told my parents my dream was to marry a cattleman.

During college I worked on a ranch in Montana and also found "The CattleMan."  After getting married to "The CattleMan", Jake, we helped manage a ranch for a few short years in Montana and then jumped on the opportunity to buy our own cattle herd.

We have been  growing and improving our herd ever since 2002. The 2 in our brand represents that year we took the leap of faith to lead our little family back to Oregon in the same valley "The CattleMan" grew up in.

Here in Oregon we raise lots of cows and a few kids. Both need lots of tender loving care, so that's what we've become good at!

We work diligently at providing a premium product. This is what we do everyday of the year, from checking on every new born calf to moving cattle on to greener pastures.  Helping make this process happen brings a sense of exhilaration because we provide a product our family and yours can be fueled with.

As the years have passed we have generally sold our cattle to wholesale buyers.  Along the way we have found people interested in direct sales from our ranch to their home cooked cuisine.  So we started selling quarters,  halves and whole beef.   Our meat is USDA inspected.  We dry age our meat because of the great flavor and quality it helps us achieve. I love hearing customers say,  "That is seriously the best meat we have ever had."

We are excited to offer direct sales from ranch to home with individual boxes of beef to provide good quality and well cared for beef for you.

"The CattleMan"

Jake,  "The CattleMan" is our rock.  He makes everyday on the ranch happen.  He spends the most time with the cattle.

The CattleMan grew up in Oregon.  He was raised on ranching in the same valley we live in and the same home he was raised in.

He spent much of his childhood on horseback helping with cattlework and other ranch chores.  As he grew older his father saw the advantage in learning to work for other people.  He took a job on a neighboring ranch during high school, worked on operations in Florida and Montana while in college and learned many valuable lessons.

He is very dedicated, honest,  and strongly believes in values and morals.  He is our rock.   Before we met, he served a two year mission for our church in Panama. The CattleMan earned a degree in Agribusiness before taking a ranch management job in Montana.  After working in Montana for two years the opportunity to return home happened! In the fall of 2002 we came west to Oregon!

Dreams do come true if we work hard enough to make them happen.  It took plenty of elbow grease, grit, and faith to get our feet set in the stirrups in Oregon.
